WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PROFRACTIONAL ERBIUM LASER TREATMENT?
The first three to five days following the treatment, patients’ treated area looks very red, similar to a sunburn. Gradually, the top layer of the skin will begin to peel, this usually occurs between the fifth and seventh day after treatment. As the patient washes the skin or during sleep, skin will exfoliate in a gradual way.
Post care detailed instructions will be provided to the patient shortly after the treatment. Normally, patients can use moisturizer 24 hours after the procedure and make-up after the fourth day.
